Piranya, aka Anya Krefft, got addicted to poi and fire in 2007 when a friend showed her some of her first tricks. Having only short time left in the Bay Area, she took as many classes she could before returning to Germany cramming as much poi into her brain as possible. Now back in Regensburg, Germany, she is determined to raise a fire community as strong as the one she left by forming FAC Germany in March 2011.

Fire Arts Academy also offers lessons in Regensburg, Germany. Lessons include Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced Poi.
The classes include many simple drills to get you started spinning and to improve your skills quickly. Students learn a variety of moves and techniques to put it all together. A follow-up class encompasses fire safety and how to apply what students have learned to actual fire spinning, if the students feel they are ready. Everything is done according to personal comfort level. Fuel, safety, and fire poi provided for the on-fire lesson, as needed.
Beginner Poi covers the basic moves: Butterfly (in most forms), Weave, Corkscrew, and many others.
Intermediate and Advanced Poi cover: complex transitions changing directions, Push- Through (threading the needle), body movement with poi, and more.
